Join us for a celebratory round to honor the golf architect who inspired the design for hole 7!
A.W. Tillinghast, a wealthy Philadelphian trained by Old Tom Morris, began designing courses in 1906 with no prior experience, creating masterpieces like Winged Foot, Baltusrol, and Bethpage. A versatile artist and writer who coined “birdie,” he thrived in the 1920s but lost his fortune, dying in 1942 after consulting for the PGA. Our 7th hole reflects his eclectic style: a Bethpage-like pit bunker, San Francisco’s amorphous traps, early-career dolomite mounds, and a Winged Foot-inspired front bunker, paired with a subtly canted Brook Hollow green.
