Join us for a celebratory round to honor the golf architect who inspired the design for hole 4!
Devereux Emmet, a New York aristocrat and avid golfer, began designing courses after trips to Scotland, starting with Garden City Golf Club in 1898. Inspired by British layouts while aiding C.B. Macdonald, he launched his firm in 1908, becoming New York’s most prolific designer with works like Wee Burn and Pomonok, host of the 1939 PGA. Our 4th hole showcases his steeplechase style: a crossbunker in the fairway and low mounds around the green, demanding aerial play to conquer his hazards.
Hole No. 4: In the style of Devereux Emmet
